5th manus® competition for plastic plain bearing applications

The competition first conducted in 2003 with great success goes into the fifth round.
manus® is a joint initiative by igus®, polymer researchers and manufacturers of plastic plain bearings, the technical publication Industrieanzeiger, Cologne Technical College and the Institute of Composite Materials.
"manus" (Latin for hand) symbolizes the drive to explore new ways in bearing technology.
We are looking for applications already implemented with plastic bearings which are distinguished by technical and commercial efficiency, boldness and creativity which produce surprising results.

In the past two decades, plastic bearings have made great progress from the "bushing" to a precisely predictable and durable machine component. Spread across all industries, they now enable solutions that combine the apparent contradictions with each other.
The competition awards bold applications with plastic bearings, which distinguish themselves through technical and economic efficiency, creativity and surprising results. manus® symbolizes the courage and drive to explore new ways in bearing technology.
